Site and Project Permitting Services
Waste Management Permitting
A major strength of SE Technologies is in the waste management field. Changing regulations and increased environmental awareness combine to make waste management a primary concern for utilities, industries, municipalities, and landfill owners and operators. SE Technologies has participated in over 40 projects relating to waste management in the last 10 years alone. Completed projects have involved the preparation of compliance strategies, feasibility studies, permit application documents, design and development, and final construction plans for facilities ranging from small municipal sanitary landfills to large industrial waste landfills. SE Technologies also provides comprehensive services for waste management planning in such areas as source reduction, waste minimization and records management. Additionally, SE Technologies has experience in a number of other solid waste management technologies. These include the permitting of landfill gas-to-energy facilities, waste-to-energy cogeneration plants, disposal impoundments, refuse-derived fuel plants, and transfer stations.
Because of the numerous environmental requirements established by federal, state and local regulatory agencies, SE Technologies' first involvement with a client is often preparation of a regulatory compliance strategy. SE Technologies has completed waste management plans involving waste minimization studies, source reduction strategies, disposal options, conceptual site development or closure plans, feasibility studies for waste management facilities, needs analyses, and economic analysis.
SE Technologies has worked with federal, state and local agencies to develop relationships that assist our utility clients in obtaining those permits and necessary approvals to perform work on projects of all sizes. These permits range from stream crossing permits to E & S plans, wetland encroachment, road access permits and building and occupancy permits. SE Technologies also has working relationships with several subcontractors to provide archeological and threatened and endangered species investigation and remediation.
These abilities allow SE technologies to assist or manage portions of small projects up to major capital projects in part or as a whole. By utilizing the experiences of the SE Technologies’ staff and its subcontractors SE Technologies can expedite even the most difficult issues.
SE Technologies has performed wastewater treatment and permitting services for numerous industrial and utility clients. The clients include major manufactures of petroleum, steel, and chemicals, and electric and gas producers. The services offered to these clients can be categorized in four general areas.
