Safety and Industrial Hygiene Services

SE Technologies’ personnel have provided industrial hygiene services for a wide variety of clients.  These clients include gas and electrical utilities, manufacturing facilities, real estate development companies, contractors, hospitals, and railroads.  These projects range in complexity from conductivity exposure monitoring on individuals, to developing and designing ventilation controls for industrial processes to reduce employee exposures to airborne contaminants.

Mold and DEA Drug Lab Assessment and Remediation

SE Technologies has been conducting mold investigation services for a wide variety of clients for over 15 years.  SET has conducted these investigations for clients in the government, public, and private sectors.

Our staff has also worked under contract to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to assess and remediate drug laboratory operations in residential and commercial settings.  Besides buried or abandoned chemicals, there is also the hazard of infiltration of chemical and drug residues into building materials.  These residues, if present in sufficient quantities, have been determined to be a hazard to occupants, much like mold.  We bring this expertise to assess and remediate your residential or commercial property previously used as such a laboratory.

Our staff has been trained to conduct investigations by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and has a Certified Indoor Environmentalist on staff.

These projects range in complexity from conducting post remediation clearance air monitoring to full indoor air quality investigations which include identifying the presence of mold in a building, determining the source of moisture causing the growth of mold and developing and designing remediation controls to reduce exposure levels to airborne mold spores during remediation.

Similarly, our staff evaluates building materials for the presence of residual chemicals or drugs in suspected former laboratory facilities, developing and designing remediation controls to reduce exposure levels and remediating contaminated building materials.  Our staff is experienced in dealing with all aspects of mold and drug lab investigations including:

  • Post Remediation Clearance Sampling

  • Mold Hazard Assessments

  • Chemical Hazard Assessments

  • Moisture Intrusion Investigations

  • Indoor Air Quality Investigations

  • Bulk Sampling Methods

  • Viable and Non-Viable Air Sampling Methods

  • Containment Design

We have provided expertise in solving building air quality problems, identifying potential hazardous situations, and designing cost effective solutions.
